Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Condensed)
Lead Tracking: Check the Leads sheet and emails 4x daily (8am, 11am, 1pm, 4pm). Forward bid opportunities to management for tracking and aim to send quotes within 45 days.
Lead Follow-Up: Contact new leads ASAP via phone or email. Schedule site visits or assessments and gather all necessary job details.
Site Visits: Bring tools (wheel, paint, camera, computer). Measure, mark, and photograph work areas. Take clear notes and ask questions to understand scope, pricing expectations, and competitors.
Quote Prep: Use bid sheet to calculate quotes. Submit for approval, then send PDF to the customer. Follow up if no reply within a day and schedule follow-ups based on customer decision timelines.
Project Management
Scheduling: Call 811, coordinate scheduling with the manager and customer, and document all details (scope, materials, subs, permits, etc.) in the calendar as a work order.
Execution: Meet crews/subs onsite to review expectations. Monitor scope changes and issue change orders with customer approval if needed.
Invoicing: Invoice upon completion, include all required info (address, PO), update financial spreadsheet, and archive documents.
Skills & Traits Required
Strong communication, sales, time management, and organization skills
Paving/concrete knowledge, production rates, material yields
Proactive, resilient, persistent, and able to handle rejection
Customer-focused, competitive, reliable, flexible, and deadline-driven
Able to travel, manage accounts, and work independently or in a team
