The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair activities for county-owned facilities. This position is responsible for supervising a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that all work is performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established standards and procedures. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining overall functionality and safety of county facilities, contributing to the well-being of employees and the general public.The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor role encompasses diverse responsibilities related to overseeing the maintenance and operations of various county facilities. The primary objective is to ensure the efficient functioning, safety, and upkeep of these facilities. Key job duties include:

Supervision and Team Management:

Provide effective leadership to a team of maintenance technicians, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress; delegate tasks and responsibilities ensuring efficient utilization of resources; conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, identify opportunities for staff development and training; and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

Building Maintenance and Repairs:
Oversee and coordinate maintenance and repair activities for county-owned facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems; develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency; respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, prioritizing critical issues and allocating resources accordingly; coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance projects; maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment inventory.

Safety and Compliance:
Maintain a safe and secure work environment by enforcing adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and building codes; conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and address them promptly; and stay updated on building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance within the county buildings.

Budgeting and Resource Management:
Utilize the Countys financial system to assist in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget, process invoices, and obtain purchase orders; identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend efficiency measures without compromising quality or safety; and evaluate maintenance and repair needs, recommend equipment and supply purchases, and manage inventory levels.

(Performs Related Duties As Required)High School diploma or equivalent and seven (7) years of experience at the full performance level in facility maintenance including two (2) years of supervisor experience or two (2) years of Montgomery County Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician experience OR completion of Associate Degree core course work in Facilities Management or related discipline and five (5) years of experience at the full performance level in facility maintenance including two (2) years of supervisory experience or two (2) years of Montgomery County Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician experience OR alternative, equivalent evidence of the Minimum Class Requirements.

Must have a current valid Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
