Planner/Scheduler (P6)

Purpose\:

Responsible for independently applying advanced scheduling and planning techniques and analysis within a project environment.
This onsite position is based in Toledo, Ohio anticipated for 1 year with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities\:

• Perform all aspects of planning/scheduling.
• Monitor job progress according to schedules and productivity against control budgets.
• Coordinate with material expediters concerning critical items of supply.
• Participation in expenditure forecasts.
• Perform schedule and cost control analysis.
• Set up, maintain, and update cost and financial systems for assigned projects.
• Work closely with project managers and project teams to ensure timelines are met and accurate dates are maintained.
What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements\:

• Strong Primavera P6 experience and proficiency required.
• Microsoft suite of software with emphasis on Excel.
• Experience in project planning and scheduling in a refinery or plant environment.
• Sound understanding of project delivery phases, activities performed in each phase, and deliverables at the end of each phase.
• Capable of setting up project schedule in accordance with good project management practices based on critical path methodology.
• Capable of managing impact of change & trends and resulting re-schedules / re-baselines.
• Capable of developing and managing progress through activities and deliverables.
• Ability to work well as an integral part of a large project team that includes the customer, engineering disciplines, and 3rd party contractors.
• Effective skills in project controls and analytical problem-solving.
• Strong work ethic, produces accurate and credible deliverables, meets deadlines.
