Supreme Restaurant Equipmentis seeking aTechnician/Installerto join their team inOoltewah, TN.This is a role where you will be traveling to client sites to install their commercial kitchen equipment. There is another team that will be moving and setting the equipment into place. Your role will be finalizing and servicing the new install and ensuring that everything is working properly. If you have a high school diploma or GED and mechanical aptitude, this is a career you need to explore.HVAC and refrigeration experience are highly preferred but not required. Job Stability:There is always work to be done. Even when you are not handling a service/install call, you will be completing critical work in the shop. Ongoing Training:You will be provided with comprehensive training through both online seminars and classes as well as on-site training with the equipment manufacturers. You will also have remote support from the OEMs as needed too. Duties and Responsibilities: Install commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, ice machines, and reach-in units. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper system installation. Lay out and connect refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and drainage systems. Mount and secure compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related components. Charge systems with refrigerants and test for proper pressure and leaks. Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot malfunctions in commercial refrigeration systems. Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, thermostats, compressors, fans, and valves. Perform routine preventative maintenance, such as cleaning coils and checking refrigerant levels. Use diagnostic tools and gauges to measure system performance and efficiency. Recover, recycle, and dispose of refrigerants according to EPA regulations. Maintain accurate service records and installation reports. Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes. Communicate with clients or contractors about work performed, needed repairs, or upgrades. Stay updated on HVAC/R technologies, tools, and regulations. Work independently or as part of a team, sometimes in tight or elevated spaces.
