Preparation Plant Mechanic

Job description - Hourly Position

The essential functions of this position are:

5+ years of plant maintenance experience required.

Responsible for lubricating and filling oil reservoirs on all plant and beltline equipment as well as checking oil on all belt line equipment and/or plant equipment as assigned by the foreman.

The ability to weld both metal and pipe and be able to fabricate chutes and other plant machinery.

Visually observe and repair the plant equipment and machinery to make sure it is functioning properly and safely.

To perform all assigned duties in a safe, efficient, and workmanlike manner to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the preparation plant.

Work Schedule:

• 40+ hours per week
• Rotating shifts
• Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday
• Overtime - as required, and/or voluntary

Physical Requirements:

• Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner
• Use various hand tools
• Lift, carry, push, pull - tools, materials and supplies 50 - 100 lbs. regularly.
• Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary
• Work Closely with others in a team environment
• Heights - must be able to work in high areas
