Position Overview

The OMG Product Development and Innovation team is focused on developing compelling and innovative new products, and improving our existing products to better meet the needs of professional contractors in the markets we serve. The Associate Project Manager uses OMG's gated development process to focus on developing compelling and innovative new products and improving our existing products. This key position is responsible for comprehensive project management, from ideation to launch, including timeline management, cross-organization communications, and overall team management. The Project Manager must be a strong communicator, manage their time efficiently, possess strong organizational skills, and above all, be an enthusiastic team player.

Position Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
  • Take a supporting role in executing OMG's Project management and Stage Gate Processes.
  • Create and maintain project timelines.
  • Communicate any exceptions or changes to the plan or timeline.
  • Hold project team members accountable for their relevant tasks.
  • Coordinate weekly project update meetings, including slide and chart updates.
  • Manage 2 - 3 Projects concurrently.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High School Education
  • Demonstrated hands-on aptitude, construction and/or mechanical.
  • Creative, tenacious, and a problem solver.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Positive can-do attitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 pounds.
