Overview The Cost Estimator is responsible for evaluating and projecting the costs associated with materials, labor, equipment, and other resources for proposed projects. The Cost Estimator will play a key role in helping our organization maintain profitability and competitive pricing through accurate and timely cost assessments. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to gather information and refine cost estimates. Prepare cost analysis reports and present findings to management and clients. Assess subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and compliance. Monitor project budgets and recommend adjustments as needed to align with cost objectives. Maintain historical cost data to improve the accuracy of future estimates. Develop and maintain estimating databases and tools. Identify cost risks and develop contingency plans. Support the bid process by delivering comprehensive cost estimates within deadlines Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of cost estimating experience in construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, etc. Strong understanding of cost estimation techniques and financial analysis. Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., RSMeans, Bluebeam, ProEst, Microsoft Excel). Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. PREFERRED SKILLS Industry-specific certifications (e.g., Certified Cost Professional (CCP), ASPE Certification, etc.) Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) Knowledge of construction methods and materials. Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year). All full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 8 Paid Holidays per year. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
