Infrastructure Engineer

The Opportunity: We are seeking a Senior Slack Infrastructure Engineer to manage and maintain our client&s enterprise Slack environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SaaS platforms, Slack architecture, and integrations, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, implement security features, and lead vendor management efforts. This role requires technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support the infrastructure of Slack to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability
• Understand Slack&s software, architecture, and authentication mechanisms
• Implement security features and manage authentication protocols within the Slack environment
• Manage integrations, add-ons, and plugins to extend Slack functionality
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure Slack is optimized for business needs
• Identify and escalate vendor issues when necessary and hold vendors accountable
• Ask critical questions to clarify ambiguous information and drive to resolution
• Remain proactive in challenging assumptions and verifying technical accuracy

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Slack administration and infrastructure management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• SaaS vendor management experience (especially Slack or similar platforms)
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and work cross-functionally
• Strong judgment on when to escalate issues or push vendors for accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with enterprise collaboration platforms and integrations
• Background supporting large-scale Slack implementations
