Job Description

Join a dynamic MEP consulting engineering firm based in Columbus, OH, renowned for its expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for fast casual restaurants and small commercial buildings. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer experienced in HVAC and mechanical systems design. This position is perfect for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative setting and can manage projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC and mechanical systems using Revit for fast casual restaurants and small commercial buildings.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial client concept through to final delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and other consultants to ensure design intent and project goals are met.
  • Conduct site visits and travel as needed for project coordination and client meetings.
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical design, preferably in an MEP consulting environment.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
Work Environment

The work environment is in-office, with a schedule from Monday to Friday. The team consists of 25 professionals, including 5 licensed engineers, fostering a close-knit and collaborative atmosphere. Benefits include a salaried contract-to-hire position, 9 holidays, and 3 weeks of PTO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.87/hr.
