Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager who will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules, ensuring continuous improvement, and implementing best practices. The successful candidate will proactively manage any delays, emergencies, and problems that may arise and will coach and develop project teams. This role involves overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to all quality policies and procedures. Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the project schedule, including schedule look-aheads.
- Commit to continuous improvement and implement best practices.
- Proactively manage, prevent, and communicate any delays, emergencies, and problems that can arise.
- Coach and develop project staff and trainees.
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Ensure adherence to all quality policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Select tools, materials, and equipment, and track inventory.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Review work progress on a daily basis.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Obtain permits and licenses as required.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Three or more years of project management experience.
- Experience in project management, construction management, and industrial projects.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with commercial construction and estimation.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong pre-planning and scheduling experience.
- Ability to forecast and provide financial breakdowns.
- Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
- Expert knowledge of means and methods, building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages (RedTeam, Sage, Microsoft Projects).
