Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to assist in the design, assembly, and testing of autonomous vehicles and auxiliary equipment within a portfolio of autonomous maritime products for defense, marine research, and commercial applications.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
• Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Conduct quality inspections using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Perform visual inspections and ensure quality control by addressing non-conforming components.
• Create and interpret blueprints for electrical systems.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of electrical system requirements into optimized methods for assembly, testing, and maintenance.
• Support the development of automated test fixtures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and demonstrate attention to detail.

• Expertise in electrical engineering and electrical design.
• Proficiency in research and development, quality inspection, and quality control.
• Ability to read and create blueprints.
• Experience with electrical engineering tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 7 years with a Master's degree, or 4 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

• Extensive experience working in multi-disciplinary product development teams.
• Experience in architecting platform electrical and power systems.
• Experience in designing, simulating, prototyping, testing, production, and maintenance of production-mature circuit card assemblies.
• Familiarity with systems that include hardware and software components developed for DoD, academic, or commercial use.

This opportunity resides within a business group that creates advanced unmanned maritime solutions for defense, marine research, and commercial applications. The company serves customers in over 30 countries and provides design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations, and sustainment of unmanned systems, including unmanned underwater vehicles and unmanned surface vessels.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
