Structural Engineer

Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering 2 years of experience as a Structural Engineer working on similar projects (building construction, masonry design, steel design) Experience working on warehouses and large commercial building projects (big box store clients) Experience with the following required: RISA 3D, steel design, and concrete design. Plus Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) License Position Summary An engineering consulting client is seeking to add a Structural Engineer to their growing team in Overland Park, Kansas. This position will primarily be responsible for commercial structural engineering consulting projects such as warehouses and large commercial buildings (such as big-box stores). Candidates will need to have experience working on similar projects to be considered. Some job duties may include writing structural reports, engineering additions to existing structures, checking roots, cooling units, vent hoods, etc. for existing warehouses and/or large buildings. Candidates will be required to interact with the CAD Designers, lead engineers, and other structural engineers daily. Candidates will direct designers on what structural details are required in the construction drawings. They will review drawings, and ensure that drafting and design teams meet the requirements set forth. Project Types may include: Analysis of existing warehouse structures. Rooftop antenna installation Water tank installations. Analysis of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, bar joists, and soils
