We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Estimator. Our company works on Multi Family and commercial construction projects, so you must be familiar with a wide range of worksites, cost structures, and timelines. Your job duties include surveying potential worksites; collaborating with contractors, vendors, and labor agencies; and providing a comprehensive cost analysis for potential clients. Every estimate needs to address all relevant governmental regulations. Excellent communication skills are required to present your estimates to stakeholders and clients.
Construction Estimator Duties and Responsibilities
Create comprehensive cost estimates for a wide variety of construction projectsSurvey potential sites for suitability and associated costVerify vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scopeCreate estimates for all necessary insurance considerationsMaintain client confidentiality
Construction Estimator Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, but not requiredPrior experience as an estimator and general contractor preferredProficiency with cost estimating software preferredFamiliarity with construction practices, costs, and proceduresExperience with vendor management, procurement, and construction managementCompany DescriptionWalker & Company is a Winter Park, FL based General Contractor/Construction Manager serving Central Florida for 48 years. .
