Civil Engineer (P.E.)

Federico & Associates, Inc. is an engineering firm headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, seeking a Water Resource civil engineer (P.E.) with expertise in Water Resources to join our team. We are expanding our office as we complete new and exciting projects to restore impaired waterbodies throughout the region and advise private sector clients on water issues in South Florida.

Responsibilities:

Design wetland treatment systems for water quality improvement, including sizing, layout, grading, and hydraulics.Analyze and document water quality and environmental data.Design wetland treatment systems for water quality improvement, including sizing, layout, grading, and hydraulicsConduct site evaluations and prepare engineering plans, drawings, reports, cost estimates, and specificationManage projects, including coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agenciesEnsure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.Serve as liaison with federal, state, and local agencies and officials on environmental issues

Qualifications:

Professional Engineering (P.E.) degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldExpertise in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and surface water qualityProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering design softwareStrong technical writing skillsAbility to work on multiple projects under deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering.Experience in the design of treatment wetlands systems for water quality improvement is a plus (engineering plans, drawings, reports, cost estimates, and specifications).Conduct site evaluations and provide recommendations for the feasibility of treatment of wetlands.Collaborate with environmental scientists, permitting specialists, and other disciplines.Manage projects, including coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.Support construction administration and provide field oversight.Familiarity with environmental permitting processes.
