Current Electric Group is now hiring a Multifamily Sr. Electrical Estimator to join our Team as we enter the multifamily market! CEG is a Jacksonville based electrical contractor that provides new construction residential electrical services throughout North East Florida. We are a sister company of Sunshine State Plumbing which has provided plumbing services in the Southeast for 20+ years. Job Overview As our Multifamily Senior Electrical Estimator, you will be fulfilling a leadership role, pursuing projects, providing competitive bids to customers, negotiating material costs, and assisting with sourcing labor to build out the division. Job Requirements Prepare Accurate Cost Estimates - Develop detailed estimates for conceptual, design-build, and hard bid projects. Analyze Project Documents - Review drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and requirements. Perform Quantity Take-Offs - Calculate materials, labor, and other costs to determine complete project pricing. Maintain Estimating Records - Keep accurate documentation, including supplier quotes and pricing data. Prepare Reliable Quotes - Deliver clear, consistent estimates that support revenue and business goals. Recommend Value Engineering Options - Identify cost-saving alternatives and communicate with customers and engineers. Attend Pre-Bid Site Visits - Gather on-site information to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. Build Client and Supplier Relationships - Establish strong connections to position the company as the preferred contractor. Hire and Mentor Junior Estimators as the team grows - Train and support the professional development of team members. Support Business Development - Help identify and pursue new project opportunities aligned with company goals. Collaborate on Process Improvement - Share insights and contribute to refining estimating procedures and standards. Advise on Software Tools - Evaluate and recommend estimating software to improve team efficiency. Qualifications - 10+ years experience in an estimating role - Bachelor's degree in related construction discipline or business - Thorough knowledge of NEC code - Proficient in excel, bluebeam, and construction management software - Basic knowledge of accounting and math as needed for detailed estimating and cost projecting - Basic CAD experience a plus - Impressive oral and written communication skills - Ability to walk projects as needed for complete estimates What We Offer - Competitive Employment Package - 65% Company Paid Medical Insurance - Dental, Vision, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability - PTO Time - 401K w/ 4% Company Match
