Press Brake Operator IIMonday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMJob SummaryPerforms set up and operation of press brake to cost effectively produce high quality steel, stainless steel or aluminum parts in a timely manner to meet customer specifications. The press brake operator must possess good hand-eye coordination, a steady hand, and the ability to interpret plans and follow both written and verbal directions. The press brake operator must have good analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates, and blueprints that accompany each project. This position requires the ability to read gauges and other measurement tools to determine adherence to drawing tolerances. Protective clothing, eyewear and boots are normally required to work as a press brake operatorEssential Functions:Calculate bend allowances for formed partsIdentify appropriate tooling for part designsSetup and program the press brake for jobsForm parts according to specifications and confirm that formed parts meet all requirementsEnsure quality procedures are used correctly, so that products adhere to requirementsIdentify parts that are nonconforming to requirements and follow the appropriate procedures to control nonconforming productPackage completed orders and complete all required documentationRequirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience in the metals industry operating a press brakeFamiliar with the tooling and set up procedures for different thicknesses of metalsAbility to calculate bend allowances for different thicknesses of metalsAbility to read and interpret basic blueprints/engineering drawings and work order instructionsAbility to read a tape measure, calipers, micrometers and angle findersMust be able to speak, read and write fluent English; comply with verbal and written instructions.Team player who works well with others in a fast paced, customer service oriented, environmentPhysical Demands:Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 - 50 lbs frequently, manual dexterity, visual acuitySquat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequentlySit, stand and walk for 1 - 10 hours per dayAbility to work in a 55 - 85 degree Fahrenheit work environmentWork in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothingWork Environment:Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, machinery with moving partsThis position is classified as safety-sensitive.About Accurus Aerospace Kent, LLCAccurus Aerospace Kent LLC was founded in 1977 in Kent, WA.
