DACC's Division of Workforce and Community Engagement is seeking a project manager (PT) to assist with a 12-month planning grant for an integrated social enterprise and business incubator with a commercial kitchen that includes training and work-based learning. Long-term impacts of the project seek to 1) enhance small business innovation, 2) increase economic mobility by transforming the hiring potential of vulnerable community members, and 3) strengthen the good jobs ecosystem through advocacy and leadership for equity. Outcomes of the planning grant include: 1) MOUs with partner organizations, 2) a strategic plan with implementation phases, 3) site selection and design, and 4) budget of the social enterprise project. The mission of the Workforce & Community Engagement Division is to be a gateway to economic mobility for the new majority learner. We provide customized learning experiences to meet the unique needs of our community, learners, and employers. The goals of the division are to provide Innovative and quality workforce education for the Dona Ana community, residents, and employers. Adult Education Services in English-as-a-Second Language (ESL), High School Equivalency (HSE), and Integrated Education & Training (IET) Small Business Development Services Access to better employment opportunities and professional development opportunities for new majority learners. Primary Job Duties of the Project Manager Oversee the planning grant and manage the project schedule and activities. Develop a partner network for the social enterprise project o Identify possible core and peripheral partners o Schedule and lead regular working meetings with core partners o Outline roles and responsibilities o Develop MOUs Participate in the Feasibility study process Develop advisory board Develop Data Collection and Analysis guide Develop leads for additional funding Required Education Bachelor's degree in a related field. Required Experience: Two (2) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined. Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services. Required Knowledge and Skills Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the Division's mission, vision, and goals. Skills in short- and long-term planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; interpersonal and organizational communication, both oral and written. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct activities.
