Job Description
A top engineering firm in the area is looking to add a Geotechnical Engineer to their team. This stable and growing firm offers clients valuable knowledge and expertise in the AEC industries. Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a team of highly motivated staff.
Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities:
Perform analysis for retaining walls and bridges, structures and buildings, dams and levees
Data reduction and organization to provide recommendations for foundation design
On-site observation of excavation techniques and soil sampling
Co-design multiple geotechnical engineering projects, concurrently
Co-coordinate and execute various projects with geotechnical staff
Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.
Geotechnical Engineer Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering
PE certification (or in the process of achieving)
Project experience with bridges, roadways, retaining walls, slopes, and embankments, buildings and various methods of ground improvements.
Software Skills: Microstation, AutoCAD preferred, proficiency in Microsoft Office
Must be willing to travel to work sites
