The incumbent must be able to perform set up and operate various machinery and must know how to quickly identify machine malfunction. The individual should be able to use basic hand tools in our plant operations, additionally you will Essential Functions Have knowledge of department and plant processes Knowledge of production equipment/handheld tools used in department in a professional manner Ability to read blueprints Perform safety audits Participate in Lean manufacturing, Gemba and 5S Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure Ability to work overtime as required to meet business needs Demonstrates the ability of attention to detail of product and processes Perform strenuous activities for a moderate duration Maintains an attitude that unlawful or unethical actions are not accepted Performs other duties directed by leaders and management Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors, which conform to all Valmont safety policy and procedures Other important Details about the Role: Ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a professional manner Ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions Ability to work overtime as required to meet business needs.
