FactoryTalk Project Manager Location: Reno, NV Job Summary We seek a forward-thinking and driven FactoryTalk Project Manager to lead high-impact industrial automation projects using Rockwell Automation's FactoryTalk suite. In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of the entire project lifecycle-from initial planning to final commissioning-delivering cutting-edge PLC, SCADA, and HMI solutions for industrial and commercial clients. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end execution of FactoryTalk automation projects, including scoping, scheduling, budgeting, design review, implementation, and commissioning. Serve as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring project goals are communicated and achieved. Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams-engineering, software, and field services-to ensure seamless system integration and deployment. Prepare and manage detailed project documentation such as timelines, cost forecasts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and technical specifications. Oversee field testing, system validation, startup, and troubleshooting, ensuring solutions meet client expectations and quality standards. Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Stay current with the latest developments in Rockwell Automation technologies, FactoryTalk software updates, and industrial automation best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Control Systems, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience managing automation/control system projects, with hands-on experience in FactoryTalk platforms. Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation tools including FactoryTalk View SE/ME, FactoryTalk Historian, Studio 5000, and ControlLogix/CompactLogix. Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, and OPC UA. Proven ability to manage technical project scopes, budgets, and schedules in dynamic, on-site environments. Proficiency in project management and design software including MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Excellent leadership, organization, and interpersonal communication skills. Willingness to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications Rockwell Automation certifications (e.g., Rockwell Certified Automation Professional). Experience working in regulated sectors such as water/wastewater, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing. Familiarity with industrial network architecture and cybersecurity standards. Exposure to other automation/SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, or Siemens. Working knowledge of documentation tools such as Bluebeam or Revit. OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training. PMP or equivalent project management certification. Why Join Us?
