Summary of Position

Kinsley is seeking Equipment Operators to join our growing civil site pipe crews in Hagerstown, MD, and surrounding areas, including Clarksburg, Frederick, MD, and Winchester, VA. Ideal candidates will have prior experience operating loaders, and backhoes, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

Pipelayer

Installation of new pipes in trench for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains

Align pipes in pipeline sections

Ensure subgrade and pipe are on grade and in line

Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment

Job site hazard recognition

Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required

General Equipment Operator

Operates various heavy equipment in compliance with Kinsley's safety standards.

Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of construction practices and site requirements.

Ensures equipment is maintained through regular checks and servicing.

Performs additional responsibilities as necessary to support the team and achieve project goals.

Track Loader Operator

Operates track loader for tasks such as grading, trench filling, and loading materials.

Maintains a working knowledge of underground utilities for accurate and safe operations.

Conducts daily equipment checks, including greasing and fluid inspections, to ensure proper functionality.

Follows Kinsley's safety policies and OSHA procedures to maintain a secure job site.

Assists with additional duties as needed to support project completion.

Grader Operator

Operates a grader to achieve precise finish grading.

Conducts regular maintenance and inspections to keep equipment in good working condition.

Adheres to all safety protocols and OSHA standards.

Assists with other duties required to meet project objectives.

Requirements

Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as track loaders, graders, or similar machinery.

Knowledge of underground utilities and general construction processes.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and contributing to a safe job site environment.

Punctuality and dependability are essential.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
