The Opening

We are currently seeking an Emergency Response Equipment Operator to be based out of Salt Lake City, UT to assist with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following PROS - Pause, Review, Observe, Start

Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities that deal with biological and chemical materials

Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift

Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights

Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, dozer, excavators, backhoes

Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment

Load and unload equipment from vehicles, and trailers

Have an excellent driving history

What does it take to work at Environmental Restoration?

2 years of equipment operator experience

Pass a Pre-Employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam

Legally eligible to work in the United Stated (Verified through E-Verify)

Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification

Ability to work on an on-call basis as business needs require

Ability and willingness to work in a physically intensive role

Ability to work in confined spaces

Ability to wear a respirator

Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds

Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments

Environmental experience, hazardous waste experience and certification (i.e. OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER), CDL and maintenance experience is a plus.
