Description

ECBuild is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. The Project Engineer will be responsible for submittal review, expediting, coordination, problem resolution (RFI's), document control and be the touchpoint between multiple parties including Subcontractors, Owners and other key members of the construction team.

Job Duties

Assist in management of all features of the assigned project(s) from start through closeout

Reinforce the management of the project requiring effective interaction and coordination with internal team members as well as external parties

Ensure scope is executed according to the contract and prevent unplanned/unbudgeted work

Attend all project meetings as required by the Project Manager

Maintain and keep current all construction documents (Submittals, RFI's, change orders, drawings, specifications, etc.) and prepare as-built documents

Assist with Quality Control/Quality assurance efforts

Support the job cost management efforts

Prepare and distribute meeting minutes

Manage RFI process

Manage Submittal process

Organize all material testing documentation and track all non-conformance issues to closure

Perform other related duties as assigned, as required by Project Manager

Requirements

Minimum of 1-5 years' experience in the role of Assistant Project Engineer or Project Engineer.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field required

Internships in the Construction Industry

Working knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); subcontractor agreements, estimating, schedules and safety required

Excellent communication and organizational skills essential

Excellent time management skills and a high attention to detail

Proficient with project management software - Procore, or similar

Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel

Proficient with Bluebeam

Flexibility and willingness to travel and work at various locations

Ability to work well with diverse, multi-disciplined groups

Preferred Education and Experience:

Project Types: Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Laboratory, MEP and Commercial Experience is a plus

Additional Eligibility/Qualifications:

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening
