OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY
The Project Estimator (Audio-Visual) is a customer facing position responsible for the qualification and response creation for RFPs (Request for Proposals) in coordination with the sales team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for interfacing with current and potential Audio-Visual customers, and internal sales team to produce bid responses for RFPs (request for proposals).
Support between 4 and 8 concurrent Audio-Visual bid responses.
Participate in the initial evaluation of a bid to determine if Cenero should pursue the opportunity.
Evaluate and document RFPs for risks pertaining to the system design, logistical delivery, and serviceability.
Participate in the creation of initial RFIs (requests for information) to clarify details in the RFPs.
Review and understand building drawings and schematic diagrams which detail systems to be priced in the RFP
Assemble the pricing response for labor and materials as detailed in the RFPs.
Assist the sales team with Pre-Sales scope development (technical writing, client requirements, caveats, etc.) presentations and cost estimation
Support sales team on site visits or client calls with design related activities
Assist with the development of appropriate design documentation to optimize our ability to respond to RFPs
Attend applicable meetings, visit customer sites & conduct site surveys (as required) to gather necessary information
Professionally represent Cenero to the customer and other project contacts and manage the customer's expectations
Keep and enter accurate time sheet information
Ability to interface professionally with clients, either in-person or on the phone
Ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Applicant must be able to handle the pressure of deadlines on a regular basis

Qualifications

Experience and/or Education
Applicant should have a 2 or 4 year college degree in a technical field
Applicant must have 4 to 5 years of related Audio-Visual industry experience
Applicant must have knowledge of Audio-Visual fundamentals and ICIA best practices.
CTS certification is mandatory, CTS-D is preferred.
Manufacturing certifications are a plus
Prefer someone with experience installing or supporting AV equipment and/or CAT5 cabling
Skills
Applicant must have efficient Microsoft Excel skills.
Applicant must have sound technical writing ability.
Experience reading and understanding signal flow diagrams.
Experience reading and understanding building drawings.
Experience designing or delivering modern AV solutions in a corporate enterprise environment.
Applicant must have the ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Applicant must be able to handle the pressure of deadlines on a regular basis.
