Job Title: Foreman
Reports To: Team Lead and their delegates
Supervises: Direct reports-including Operators and Laborers-and subcontractors
FLSA Status: Not Exempt
Summary: Foremen manage and oversee the job site crew to ensure the job moves forward
at a productive and safe pace. They monitor the job's progress and report back to the Team Lead and delegates on workpleted, productivity, obstacles topletion and variations to the original site plan.
Foremen also have the ability to read and understand plans; maintain layout and grades established by others; supervise a small crew; support subcontractors; and perform the primary trade and craft services SumCo offers.
Essential Duties: (Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all that may be found in positions of this class.)
Understand plan, spec and permit requirements for assigned project tasks.
Take direction from Team Lead and/or their delegate to execute assigned tasks with daily oversight.
Responsible for safety of crew, subcontractors and overall job site.
Set pace and maximize productivity of subordinate crew.
Support productivity of subcontractors.
Identify obstacles to productivity and consult with Team Lead or their delegate to correct.
Identify differing site conditions or other changes in the work and promptlymunicate to Team Lead and their delegates to negotiate adjustments.
Rmend methodology improvements to maximize crew productivity.
Communicate regularly with Team Lead and their delegates to ensure proper
progress and project delivery.
Hands-on quality control of assigned tasks.
Inform time, coding and other job costing administration by Team Lead and
their delegates.

Ed & Experience:
10+ years of industry experience.
Knowledgeable about & retain instructions on best practices for assigned tasks.
Understand defined task sequences & requirements for efficientpletion.
Exhibit leadership skills and ability to motivate crews to maximum productivity.
Physical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Stand for long periods of time
