**Position Title**:**Project Manager, Solar Constructio**n

**Location:**Hybrid (Office & Remote; locations include Montpelier,

White River Junction, VT, and Brunswick, ME)

**Reports To:**Director of Project Management

**Employment Type:**Full-time

**Salary:**\$60,000 to \$90,000 per year, depending on experience and

qualifications

**Position Overview**

Manage all aspects of projects for Norwich Solar. Coordinates work

activities across multiple functions to ensure successful project

delivery. Responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle,

including planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.

Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other

performance indicators, preparing reports for senior management. Assists

with the selection, negotiation, and management of activities involving

external consultants and vendors.

**Key Responsibilities**

Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and

cost-effective completion. Develop detailed project plans and work

breakdown structures, establishing clear timelines and responsibilities.

Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, procurement,

construction, and finance to ensure alignment across all project phases.

Act as a central point of communication between stakeholders.

Monitor progress using project management software, proactively

identifying potential delays or issues. Provide regular progress

reports, highlighting key milestones and financial performance.

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop contingency plans

and adjust schedules and budgets as necessary to minimize disruptions.

Ensure projects adhere to all applicable safety standards, regulatory

requirements, and environmental guidelines. Collaborate with compliance

and safety officers to maintain best practices.

Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and third-party

vendors. Negotiate contracts, oversee deliverables, and ensure

high-quality workmanship.

Track project expenses, prepare cost reports, and recommend corrective

actions when required to stay within budget. Assist with financial

forecasting and project profitability analysis.

Engage regularly with clients, partners, and community representatives

to provide updates and address concerns. Maintain strong, positive

relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams, fostering a

collaborative and results-driven environment. Facilitate team meetings

and ensure all members remain aligned on project goals.

**Qualifications**

Bachelors degree in construction management, Engineering, Renewable

Energy, or a related field

3 plus years of experience managing construction projects, preferably in

solar or renewable energy.

Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., PMP,

Prince2).

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex

financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across

cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects

concurrently in a fast- aced environment.

Proficient in developing and managing project schedules and identifying

critical path items.

Skilled in balancing priorities and adjusting strategies to deliver

optimal outcomes while minimizing risk.

Familiarity with industry software tools such as PVSyst, or PowerTrack

is a plus. Familiarity with other software tools such as MS Project,

AutoCAD, NetSuite, Procore, or Timberline is also beneficial.
