As a **Maritime Electrician** , you will be responsible for installing, energizing, and inspecting wiring, fixtures, and equipment for all electrical services aboard ship and in shipyard facilities. Lets get that SPARK back for you!

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, military specifications, and test procedures
+ Utilize knock out tools, hole saws, and step bits to punch properly sized holes in electrical panels, boxes, and other surfaces.
+ Determine the proper wire termination products including lugs, splices, split bolts, terminals, cannon plugs, coaxial and registered jack connectors.
+ Serve and hook up power and lighting junction boxes, power and lighting distribution panels, fuse boxes, transformers, light switches, receptacles, controllers, motors, UPS, batteries, and DC systems.
+ Load mounting, bonding and grounding and cleaning of the equipment
+ Pack and seal stuffing tubes, bulkhead tubes, and multi-cable transits
**What Were Looking For:**
+ Three (3) years of related electrical inspection and installation experience
+ Knowledge of electrical theory, procedures, and safety requirements and the ability to install, energize, and inspect shipboard electrical systems and equipment (4160v and less) in accordance with specifications and drawings.
+ Understanding of US NAVAL Vessel and Electrical Terminology.
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods
+ Comfortable working in smaller/enclosed spaces within the ship
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
+ Standing for extended periods
+ Performing repetitive hand and wrist motions
+ Bending, stooping, and reaching to complete tasks
