Sr. HVAC Technician (CORP) - 1st Shift

Join a team of professionals where you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and fixing commercial level heating, cooling, and ventilation systems at TURBOCAM facilities. This position, at times, will coordinate and work with external HVAC contractors depending on project size and timeline for completion. Come Build with Us by:
  • Supporting the planning, execution, and replacement of new equipment, ensuring compliance with design requirements and specifications. Conducting load and mechanical calculations, evaluating equipment selection, reviewing submittals and making recommendations to achieve effective design solutions. Analyzing equipment performance and energy efficiency to optimize functionality and sustainability.
  • Facilitating and assisting with the installation of various equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, HVAC systems, glycol loop pumps, and automation controls. Ensuring smooth integration and functionality while assisting with setup and optimizing operations.
  • Maintaining proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing complex equipment, including HVAC systems, cooling towers, boilers, chillers, and glycol pumps. Repairing or replacing condensers, compressors, pumps, valves, motors, bearings, belts and other parts.
  • Qualified for building automation system (BAS) programming and configuration certification, aimed at optimizing building performance. Committed to ongoing skill development while training, mentoring, and offering technical guidance to others.
  • Identifying local HVAC suppliers and distributors for efficient parts procurement. Developing and prioritizing a parts inventory program based on lead times and equipment significance.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, shop drawings and technical manuals.
  • Performing tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Performing emergency repairs as needed during off hours.
  • Acting as a member on the on-call and the snow removal team.
  • Performing other duties as necessary.
Bring Your Expertise:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certification or associates degree from an HVAC program or technical school required.
  • 15+ years as an HVAC technician preferably with commercial level systems in a large facility environment.
  • Ability to braze and solder piping.
  • Certification through the EPA to handle refrigerants.
  • Intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Epicor maintenance software (preferred).
  • Strong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex issues to internal customers and contractors.
  • Must possess valid drivers license from his/her state of residence. Snow plowing experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to work odd hours during emergencies to ensure limited system failures and downtime.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds in a safe manner and request assistance when warranted.
  • Must be able to climb in and out of small spaces, crawl around machinery.
  • Must have range of motion sufficient to permit climbing stairs and ladders, walking, standing, stooping, and crouching for extended periods while performing duties.
