Description
Incumbent will supervise and work with custodial staff and support the Building Facilities Foreman. Ideal candidates will have mechanical, general electrical, plumbing, and painting skills.
+ Maintains and repairs panels, circuits, wiring, receptacles, and switches.
+ Replaces motors, fans, lights, starters, ballasts, and auxiliary heat systems.
+ Assists journeyman electricians in new installations.
+ Maintains and repairs faucets, sinks, drains, toilets, tubs, water heaters and water service and drain lines; unplugs drain systems, repairs leaks, and installs washers.
+ Assists journeyman plumbers in the installation and remodeling of plumbing systems.
+ Builds partitions and walls, installs windows, doorframes, stairways and railings.
+ Builds and sets forms and pours and finishes concrete.
+ Maintains and repairs heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
+ Monitors boiler room by reading gauges for pressure and records in logbook.
+ Conducts preventive maintenance on building devices and systems.
+ Maintains sprinkler systems, mows lawns, removes snow
+ Operates equipment such as mowers, forklifts, tractors, snowplows, saws, jointers, sweepers, and presses.
+ Maintains hand and power tools associated with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
+ Manage Janitorial staff; provide safety training, instruction and leadership.
+ A cell phone with an Idaho area code, furnished by the employee, is required for this position and is eligible for reimbursement under the Cell Phone Reimbursement policy.
Minimum Qualifications
These qualifications are mandatory requirements.
+ Some knowledge of heating and cooling system maintenance and repair.
Typically gained by at least six months experience performing general duties in this area OR completion of a vocational-
