Summary
The Fabrication & Build Technician’s responsibilities include, but not limited to, moving, building, constructing various features, conducting sub-assemblies, and installing equipment intro trailers, box trucks or similar. The incumbent is directed by the Manufacturing Engineer, but works with limited supervision to complete daily tasks.
Areas of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Participate in all facets of new equipment builds, swaps and maintenance.
- As required, strip, insulate, build walls, install wall finishes, trim, electrical and mechanical fixtures and processes.
- Verify all shop materials and suppliers are available and ready before starting assignments.
- Gather and organize parts and equipment required for projects and maintain them in a safe, clearly identified location.
- Test and ensure all builds are properly functioning prior to customer contact.
- Generator, compressor installation and report.
- AC/DC electrical circuit troubleshooting, repair and installation.
- Fabrication of hydraulic hoses, pneumatic hoses and applicable fittings.
- Maintain a clean & organized facility ensuring all items are properly identified.
- Communicate with all team members; advising when supplies are low, tools required, process improvement ides, etc.
- Assist and back up other(s) and branches as directed.
Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Must have general mechanical knowledge, carpentry skills, metal working skills and electrical knowledge for basic wiring.
- Industry specific equipment skills with Spray Foam equipment knowledge a plus.
- Good interpersonal and external communication skills along with email, texting, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ERP systems

Physical demands may include but are not limited to:
Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; light lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
