As a Civil Engineer Designer (CED), supporting our Site/Land Development Engineering Team in our downtown Los Angeles, CA office at Psomas, you will utilize your expertise to contribute work performed on Site/Land Development and Public Works projects while working in a team-oriented setting and interacting with clients. Responsibility Highlights for our Civil Engineer Designer - Site/Land Development

• Work under minimal supervision, providing support to a project team on a broad range of in private and public development
• Assist in utility investigation and coordination
• Perform field verifications and participate in site visits and meetings
• Help with the development of projects and conventional aspects of civil engineering
• Perform research and analysis, such as: hydraulics, hydrology, water/sewer/drainage, street design, grading, and earthwork
• Under supervision, prepare draft technical reports, including hydraulics, hydrology, water/sewer/drainage calculations; cost/quantity estimates; and specifications
• Assist with design of grading/drainage, hydraulics, hydrology, water, sewer, and storm drain using Civil 3D software
• Support other team members as needed

Minimum Qualifications to be our Civil Engineer Designer - Site/Land Development

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering and design in site development engineering projects
• EIT Certification and working towards obtaining a California PE license
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D, and proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Demonstrating an organized work approach and willingness to ask questions
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Self-motivated to work on individual tasks and in a team environment
• Must be able to communicate with verbal and written clarity

Preferred Qualifications for our Civil Engineer Designer - Site/Land Development

• Experience with of development of Low Impact Development Design (LID), Stormwater Quality Management Plan (SQMP) , and StormWater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
• Experience using MicroStation
• Experience using hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software
• Experience using GIS software for data processing and analyses
• ENV SP (or can obtain within 2 years of hire)

• A competitive salary! The expected range for this position is $39.00 - $50.00/hour depending on experience
