What you’ll do

  • Provides engineering in form of models, drawings, feasibility studies, technical reports, design calculations etc. for assignments which have clear and specific objectives and require a limited number of variables.
  • Creates 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo Parametric.
  • Utilizes Ansys Workbench or Creo Simulate to perform Finite Element Analysis.
  • Working in teams with other engineers and designers, perform tasks which involve conventional types of plans, investigations or equipment, with few complex features, for which there are precedent references.
  • Adheres to engineering budgets and deadlines.
  • Interfaces with individuals within or outside the engineering team (project managers, supply chain, etc.).
  • Provides customer support for the project duration and participates in site visits when necessary for equipment installation and troubleshooting.
  • Adheres to engineering and development policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations within the engineering teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • BSME or BSMET from an accredited engineering university.
  • Technical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical design of heavy machinery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles, procedures and engineering standards (ASTM, ASME, AWS and DIN).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient 3D and 2D engineering software (Creo Parametric preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis.
  • Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, less than 20%
