Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of all production equipment, powder coating systems, facility infrastructure, and company vehicles. This role ensures minimal downtime and supports safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair shop machinery including CNC equipment, welders, saws, forklifts, conveyors, and powder coating lines.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all production and support equipment.
Diagnose and repair issues with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Assist with electrical repairs and basic wiring as needed.
Prioritize repairs and Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records of each item.
Fleet Maintenance
Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on company vehicles including trucks, trailers, forklifts, and service equipment.
Coordinate with outside vendors for major vehicle repairs or inspections when necessary.
Ensure all fleet vehicles meet DOT and company safety standards.
Track vehicle service schedules and maintain documentation for compliance and performance tracking.
General Duties
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Assist with facility maintenance tasks such as but not limited to: lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and structural repairs.
Support special projects, installations, or equipment upgrades as assigned.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate repairs and minimize disruption to production.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred.
3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance; experience with fleet maintenance highly preferred.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of fabrication and coating systems.
Familiarity with diesel/gasoline engines, brakes, suspension, and trailer systems.
Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and electrical schematics.
Welding and fabrication experience a plus.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, able to stand, stoop, and kneel, climb stairs and ladders safely and work in physically demanding environments both indoors and outdoors.
