Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Architect to join our team and collaborate closely with the Architectural Practice Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding project scopes, contractual obligations, and client requirements, ensuring that architectural designs meet client preferences and priorities. The role involves the creation of detailed architectural plans and 3D renderings, coordination with project teams, and collaboration with various disciplines to ensure compliance and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Understand the Architectural Practice Leaders expectations throughout each phase of the project.
- Review and comprehend project scope and contractual obligations.
- Identify client requirements, budget, timetable, and future expansion needs through consultation.
- Determine client preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other variables.
- Collaborate with clients to identify priorities in terms of needs versus desires.
- Assist clients in defining their priorities and vision by preparing 3D renderings of various options.
- Coordinate the Project Team and collaborate with all disciplines by leading the development of project plans and specifications, code review, and compliance.
- Facilitate communication and information exchange among all team members.
- Create and organize document format and presentation, review accuracy, and maintain design schedules to meet deadlines.
- Develop detailed architectural plans integrating civil, structural, electrical, HVAC, and fire protection documents, presenting them to clients for review and approval.
- Modify new or existing plans as required.
- Prepare drawings and specifications necessary to secure bids.
- Collaborate with estimators and project managers to select trade contractors.
- Work with the construction team to facilitate the building process and ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
- Oversee and mentor Architectural Designers to ensure project success.
- Work closely with the Architectural Practice Leader to create renderings, site layouts, and other graphics for project pursuit efforts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and construction document preparation.
- Expertise in architectural design and construction administration.
- Strong project management and design development skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university; Master's in Architecture preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture.
- Active board licensure and registration in Michigan.
