CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
The Welder has the ability to weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment. This worker welds metal parts together, using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes, performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding, repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes and increases size of metal parts, positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. This worker may locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads, using inspection equipment and gas torch, may perform repairs only and be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Prepare and operate welding machines.
• Perform welding operations using various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, Stick.
• Inspecting welded structures to ensure they meet job specifications and company standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and machinery.
• Assist in the selection and procurement of materials and equipment.
• Review completed work for conformance with specifications and making necessary corrections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties as identified and assigned.
Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Must be certified for the types of metal and position of welding being performed with a minimum of three years’ experience relating to repairs of vessels.

As Required.
Security Responsibilities
• Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
• Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.
• May be responsible for proper classification and marking of all information and materials. Employee shall not divulge any information, or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know authorization. Shall not divulge information outside the company without management approval. Will be required to execute company non-disclosure agreement prior to access to any controlled information.
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex words and technical documents/diagrams.
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.
Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills
Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
