Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities
+ Lays out, fits, assemblers, tack welds and straightens fabrications to blueprint specifications with the use of jigs, fixtures and/or instructions.
+ Lay out, fit, tack weld, pressure tight, test and repair to blueprint specifications all piping system, fuel tanks, or any other pressured vessel he/she may assigned excluding all hydraulic cylinders.
+ Uses the hand torches for free hand burning, simple heat-treating and gas welding.
+ Improvises jigs and fixtures for assembling and welding parts for production.
+ Maintain good housekeeping and safe working habits at all time.
We are hiring for 1st and 2nd shifts, 2nd shift (2pm-10pm), there is a shift differential for this position
A. Education
* High School Diploma
* Technical School
B. Experience
* 3+ years of welding experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
A. Education or Experience
* 3 - 5 years of experience
B. Interpersonal Skills
* Ability to setup and utilize inspection equipment.
* Ability to write in a clear and concise manner
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
* Ability to communicate welding issues to Supervisors and Welders
C. Technical Skills
* Must have expert knowledge of Weld Symbols and Weld Positions used in production.
* Must be able to read and understand detailed drawings and welding procedures/specifications.
* Must have experience using standard measuring tool
* Understanding of Print tolerances
* Basic computer knowledge is required: Access and Excel.
D. Other Skills
* Ability to effectively plan and organize
* Ability to communicate with others
