Repair Operator Job Description As a Repair Operator, you will be a crucial part of the team responsible for repairing defected forged Aerospace parts using hand tools and power guns. You will read and interpret basic blueprints and instructions, perform visual inspections of finished repaired parts, and utilize mill guns and grinders to ensure customer specifications are met. This role requires physical strength, as you must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and moving steel parts using hand cranes when necessary. Perform visual inspections of finished repaired parts. Utilize mill guns to shave excess material. Use grinders to ensure specifications meet customer requirements. Lift up to 50 lbs and use hand cranes to move steel parts. Essential Skills Experience within a heavy manufacturing environment. Experience operating heavy industrial machinery such as stamping presses and punch presses. 2+ years of heavy industrial machine operating experience. Ability to read blueprints and drawings. Work Environment Work in a department dedicated to inspecting finished forged metals for the aerospace industry. Experience a heavy industrial manufacturing environment where metals weighing from 20 to 350 lbs are moved via crane or automated robot. The facility is climate-responsive, with conditions varying from hot in summer to cold in winter. Inspectors will be stationed at assigned workstations but will move around to perform various quality testing tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Newburgh Heights, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $60000.00/yr. Supplementary pay plan - in addition to salary OT is paid in blocks of 2 hours ($125), 4 hours ($250), 8 hours ($500) Will be paid $250/month for working 3rd (shift differential) Medical starts day one 401k competitive = matches 100% of earnings up to 6% add another 3% - total 9% match Vest from day 1 Tuition assistance Will send these employees to different schooling programs supervisors have great tenure - haven't hired one in a long time!!
