Machine Operator $23 an hour**
**Job Description**
Join a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. Specializing in power, automotive, ammunition, coinage, construction materials, refrigeration, electronics, and other industries, this expanding Delaware location is seeking motivated Assembly Machinists to join their team on the 1st shift.
**Work Environment / Shift**
The work environment is clean, comfortable, and organized, although non-climate controlled. The machine shop/weld shop consists of 12 people on the production floor, providing a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. **The 1st shift operates from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, offering a great schedule for work-life balance.**
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow production orders, company procedures, and supervisor directions to prepare parts and assemble components into assemblies.
+ Perform assembly operations using power tools or specialized equipment to produce pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
+ Prepare parts for assembly through grinding, blasting, and cutting of metals.
+ Execute assembly according to company procedures and documents while adhering to quality and safety standards.
+ Maintain equipment by applying preventative maintenance as instructed.
+ Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to enhance efficiency or quality.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School Diploma or GED is required.
+ Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods.
+ Regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
+ Proficiency in using standard hand and power tools such as drills and grinders.
+ Understanding fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.
+ 1 plus years of manufacturing or production work experience.
+ 1 plus years of mechanical assembly experience, working off drawings and diagrams for assembly instruction.
+ 1 plus years of industrial machine operation.
