About the Role:

The Project Engineer the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in successful planning and execution of all projects (jobs) assigned to them. Provide technical and leadership to the Project Manager in support of Superintendents and field foreman on all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities. Includes personnel planning and administration, work assignments.

Insures project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and supports overall construction schedule.

Provides technical support for construction efforts including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.

Develops implements and administers project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.

Represents the Company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.

Interfaces all on-site departments as required to resolve conflicts, ensures quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule.

Follows all requirements of the company's safety program. Takes personal responsibility for safety in working environment. Promotes safety among peers, subordinates and supervisors.

Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Minimum 5 years similar construction engineering experience

Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes standards, etc., plus an in depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional unities required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines. Registration as a Professional Engineer is valuable.

Working conditions consists of temperature-controlled buildings or offices, outside elements such as rain, cold, and heat when working with in open environments, driving from various locations or attending meetings, etc. Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on work location.

Possess or ability to obtain a valid class C California driver's license
