Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to fill a position for a client located near Hillsboro, Oregon who specializes in food production.

JOB SUMMARY

Maintenance mechanic to assist maintenance team with installs, troubleshooting, repairs and maintaining the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hands on with performing routine equipment inspection, monitoring, lubrication, waste water treatment and required troubleshooting

• Assist with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

• Preventive maintenance

• Equipment troubleshooting

• Inventory

• Maintain proper housekeeping in the maintenance shop, fab, and other working areas

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

• Perform other/additional duties and projects that may be periodically needed

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Basic knowledge of mechanical and equipment maintenance techniques and practices

• Computerized preventive maintenance programs a plus.

• Ability to operate equipment/tools/machinery to make appropriate repairs.

• Ability to examine machines and determine defects in operation

• Ability to speak, read, and write English at the level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities.

EDUCATION

High school education or GED required.

TRAINING

ISO training and Hyster training preferred.

EXPERIENCE (TYPE & DURATION)

2+ years of experience in performing maintenance work.

Frequently uses decision making, interpersonal, teamwork, creativity, problem analysis, and basic math skills. Work includes continuously standing, walking, stooping, crawling, fingering, reaching, feeling, bending, kneeling, grasping and handling; frequently talking and hearing. Position may lift and carry up to 500 pounds with the aid of hoist and rollers, and lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
