Job Summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Project Architect to join our growing Architectural Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading the technical development of medium scale projects, along with experience on larger scale projects. This position includes the opportunity to get involved with a variety of project types, with a focus on higher education, healthcare, and civic/municipal.

Primary Functions

Collaborate with the design team during programming and conceptual phases.

Prepare design development and construction documents.

Coordinate with in-house engineers and outside consultants.

Develop architectural technical specifications.

Lead construction administration effort including observation, RFI and submittal review.

Assist with departmental duties such as updating technical standards and mentoring of entry level architectural staff.

Minimum Physical Requirements

Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Accommodation may be made for some of these physical demands for otherwise qualified individuals who require and request such accommodation.

Desired Education

Master of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture Degree from an accredited university.

Desired Skills/ Experience

5+ years of experience, preferred.

Licensure preferred.

Experienced in developing projects using Revit.

Knowledge of AutoCAD and BSD Spec Link is a bonus.

Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.

Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.

Ability to work well with others under demanding deadline situations.
