_Lead Form Carpenter - Commercial Construction_** **Location:** Maryland **Job Type:** Full-Time **Pay Range:** $30-$35 based on experience **Position Summary:** We are looking for an experienced and motivated **Lead Form Carpenter** to oversee and execute formwork operations on commercial construction projects. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of concrete forming systems, blueprint reading, and team coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure quality craftsmanship, maintain safety standards, and drive productivity on-site. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead and supervise a crew of carpenters and laborers in the construction and dismantling of formwork for concrete structures. + Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to determine formwork layout and requirements. + Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of project milestones. + Ensure all formwork is built to code, structurally sound, and aligned with project specifications. + Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to resolve issues and maintain workflow. + Monitor job site safety and enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. + Train and mentor crew members to develop skills and maintain high-quality standards. + Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and equipment needed for formwork operations. **Required Qualifications:** + Extensive experience in commercial form carpentry, including leadership or supervisory roles. + Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical drawings. + Strong knowledge of concrete forming systems (e.g., Symons, Peri, Doka, etc.). + Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a productive and safe work environment. + Skilled in layout, measuring, cutting, and assembling formwork with precision. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** + OSHA 30 certification. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. + Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial concrete projects. **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks. + Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
