Repair and Refurbishment Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Repair and Refurbishment Technician to join our team, specializing in the repair and refurbishment of modules primarily used in school and business offices. This role requires a proactive individual who can work safely and independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Utilize hand and power tools effectively. Maintain cleanliness of the shop and trailers, including floors, walls, counters, and surfaces. Assist and train in various service duties to support the service team and refurbishment processes. Inspect electrical systems and perform basic wiring tasks. Scrape and seal roofs as necessary. Clean windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors thoroughly. Perform carpentry repairs on floors, walls, roofing, siding, windows, and fixtures. Maintain a clean working area both inside and outside, including lawn, parking lot, and building. Conduct regular inventory checks and place orders as needed. Participate in regular safety meetings with a safety-first mindset. Essential Skills Ability to work independently. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Carpentry knowledge. Basic computer skills. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical work, and HVAC. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and welding is a plus. Experience operating a floor buffer. Must possess own basic hand tools, such as hammer, screwdrivers, wrench set, and tape measure. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work will be conducted both inside the shop and outside in the yard, subject to weather conditions which can be hot or cold. Hours are 6am to 2:30pm, with two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. Summer hours may start at 5am to 1:30pm. Flexibility with hours is appreciated. The dress code includes steel toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt. Safety gear such as glasses and gloves will be provided by the company. Steel-toed boots, a tool bag, and basic hand/power tools are required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
