Crane Operator Job Description As a crane operator, you will manage operations in the Transhipment hangar, A320 Final Assembly Line, Final Phase hangars, and A220 FAL. You will be responsible for receiving and delivering major aircraft components using various overhead crane configurations and lifting devices. Responsibilities Operate heavy aircraft tow tugs for moving aircraft into and out of various hangars in support of pre-Final Operational Testing. Ensure aircraft system readiness and proper configuration for towing operations, cargo loading, mooring, electrical power connections, ventilation, and cabin access as per the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM). Coordinate logistical support for cannibalization, reallocation, out-of-sequence requests of aircraft materials, and return of sea transport jigs. Operate heavy equipment to load/unload shipping containers of MCAs using a 30k forklift. Support unloading of MCAs from sea jigs at heights of 20-30 feet using articulating man lifts or scissor lifts. Perform fueling activities for ground support equipment (GSE) using portable fuel tanks. Adhere to policies for accurate recording of completed work and work-in-progress using daily job cards. Notify affected parties when clerical errors are discovered or documentation is incomplete. Use Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) to perform tasks and document any discrepancies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for EHS and SAP. Complete required daily pre-operational inspections of GSE.
