Position Summary:

Seeking a skilled Product Design Engineer to fulfill design initiatives utilizing Windchill and Creo/Parametric MCAD. Your role will focus on developing product designs in the high end technical furniture market that meet predefined criteria with special consideration to Co's manufacturing capabilities and processes, ensuring innovation, aesthetics and functionality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop detailed product designs aligned with company goals.

Collaborate with other team players to refine prototypes and fulfill design objectives.

Prepare and publish drawings/documentation per RBC design processes.

Ensure all product designs meet industry standards and product specifications.

Work closely with the production team to ensure manufacturability of designs.

Utilize CAD software and other tools for design and visualization.

Required Skills:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred, or substantial demonstrable and verifiable industry experience. Professional experience with furniture engineering and sheet metal design preferred.

Computer software skills: Experience with Creo Parametric (Pro/E) MCAD software to create designs of parts and assemblies. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite for day-to-day business. Windchill PDM experience a plus.

Analytical/Comprehension skills: Strong problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of design intent, tolerance stack analysis, and design for manufacture. Must be fluent at reading and understanding blueprints. Excellent mechanical aptitude with respect to mechanical assemblies. Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design functionality.

Communication skills: A part of daily operations involves effectively communicating with designers and production personnel. English reading/writing/speech proficiency is required.
