2nd Shift Welder

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our structural fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality production welds on carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components. You will start each day at your dedicated welding station, performing welds, cleaning up splatter, and ensuring a safe, organized work environment. This position involves MIG welding in the 1G position and may include lifting parts exceeding 50 pounds. Overhead cranes and other mechanical aids will be available for handling heavier components. Key Responsibilities: Perform MIG welding on carbon steel components in the 1G position Execute TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum, as needed Weld structural components including I-beams, handrails, base plates, and ventilation systems Clean welds and remove splatter to maintain quality and appearance Position and secure parts on the welding table; lift components manually or with crane assistance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation Read and interpret blueprints and follow welding procedures precisely Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficient in MIG welding (GMAW); TIG welding experience on aluminum and stainless steel preferred Prior experience in structural or production welding Ability to pass a visual 1G structural welding test Comfortable lifting heavy parts; physical stamina required Attention to detail and commitment to weld quality and workplace safety
