Job Duties/Scope Of Work
This position is part of the Environmental Field Support organization and provides project management support to the Land-Use Planning and Management program. Responsibilities include project management, leading the implementation of site-wide land management processes, developing land/real estate agreements, overseeing special projects, and conducting surveillance and maintenance of facilities and waste sites. This position works closely with other HMIS functional organizations, Hanford prime contractors, and DOE representatives to complete projects and services.
Essential job duties include but are not limited to:
Serving as the Hanford Site Land Planner, managing the site evaluation process to review and integrate land use requests for new facilities, infrastructure systems, land improvements, or changes in land use.
Acting as the lead project manager for land transfers, lease development, and other special DOE projects, ensuring structured project management through detailed planning and scheduling.
Leading the implementation of site-wide land management processes and supporting the development of land/real estate agreement requests.
Managing and facilitating interdisciplinary teams and ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
Conducting research into historical activities for program-related decisions and other Hanford contractors to obtain and track documentation.
Ensuring that land use requests comply with the Hanford Site Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), established in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and associated resource management plans.
Providing support for the development and administration of outgrants (easements, licenses, permits, and leases), including managing real estate records and associated databases.
Leading reviews and assessments for the Land-Use Planning and Management program, including the Hanford Site Population Projections, Land Assessments/Inquiries, CERCLA Five-Year Review, etc.
Supporting other Environmental Field Support work scopes such as regulatory compliance and permitting, as required.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS plus 8 years' experience in environmental, system/database or administration, project management/administration, and/or land use or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in leading teams and facilitating complex projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in land-use management or a related capacity, which may include environmental compliance.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Experience in managing subcontractors.
Possession of a PMP Certification.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mapping experience within common systems such as the ESRI platform, including management of geospatial information and data processing.
Field support experience.
Ability to coordinate with multiple organizations to identify solutions.
Knowledge of the principles and processes involved in delivering exceptional customer service.

Grade 18: $106,663 - $134,588
Grade 19: $117,225 - $147,775
Grade 20: $129,063 - $162,688
