Are you ready to take on a role where your expertise will make a critical impact? The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division is seeking an experienced Painter to join our Facilities team. The Painter is responsible for performing a wide range of interior and exterior painting and maintenance tasks to enhance and preserve the appearance and function of our buildings and facilities. This includes wall preparation, drywall repair, and surface finishing in both high-traffic and specialized areas throughout the property.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Perform interior and exterior painting of common areas, doors, corridors, vestibules, restrooms, conference rooms, break rooms, utility spaces, stairwells, exterior doors, railings, and outbuildings.

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, patching holes, sanding, and priming walls and other surfaces.

  • Repair damaged drywall, baseboards, and trim as needed prior to painting.

  • Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

  • Ensure work areas are protected and cleaned during and after painting tasks.

  • Participate in site-specific special projects that require painting and wall repair.

  • Conduct routine inspections and perform upkeep on painted surfaces to ensure quality and durability.

  • Support general facility upkeep and maintenance as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 24 years of relevant experience in facilities coordination, facility maintenance, or building operations.

  • Basic understanding of facility management principles, including space planning, routine maintenance, and building systems.

  • Familiarity with facilities operations and upkeep tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance.

  • Working knowledge of safety standards and building codes.

  • Ability to support facility inspections, scheduling repairs, and maintaining service records.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to learn or use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or related facility software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certification in Facility Management, Construction Management, HVAC, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of facilities experience, ideally in a corporate, commercial, or institutional setting.

  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost tracking for facilities-related projects.

  • Experience in managing or supporting vendor and contract relationships.

  • Working knowledge of project planning and scheduling related to space renovations or facilities upgrades.

  • Understanding of long-range space utilization planning and furniture/fixture compliance standards.

  • Experience in real estate coordination or lease administration is a plus.

  • OSHA safety training or facilities-specific certifications (e.g., FMP, SFP, or HVAC certification).

Pay Range: Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
