Westaff is looking for a Fabrication Technician in the Templeton, MA!
Location: Templeton, MA
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am 3:30pm
Payrate: $22-$28/hour depending on experience
As a Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality products using various tools, materials, and machinery while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including CNC machines, cutting tools, presses, and hand tools.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to fabricate components to specifications.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials (e.g., metal, plastic, or composites) for production.
Perform quality inspections on fabricated components to ensure compliance with company standards.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Monitor inventory levels for materials and tools, reporting shortages or maintenance needs.
Document work processes and maintain accurate records of production.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in fabrication, machining, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or a related role.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Hands-on experience with fabrication tools, machines, and measuring instruments.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move materials up to [ 50 lbs] as required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team.
