Project Engineer

Act as point person for activities related to use of design software. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports. Manage contract

drawings, shop drawings, design weld maps, and assist trades teams by providing drawings that note the location of components accurately. Prepare submittals, create and track them,

and verifying their accuracy and completeness against project specifications. Provide support for project start-up planning and coordination. Review design drawings and vendor

instructions to address errors and problems to help maintain project efficiency. Administer company tool management system while identifying company tools by type and location,

including tracking their location between our warehouses and project job sites. Research, design, evaluate, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to

meet project requirements. Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Develop,

coordinate, or monitor aspects of project production including selection of manufacturing methods and fabrications, or operation of product designs.

Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions. Specify system components and direct modification of products to ensure

conformance with engineering design, performance specifications, or environmental regulations. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Provide

feedback to design engineers on client problems or needs. Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or

maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering projects. Evaluate mechanical designs for energy performance or environmental

impact. Provide technical customer service to clients. Study industrial processes to maximize the efficiency of equipment applications. Establish and coordinate the maintenance and

safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.
